Big Beautiful Perfect Lashes

Hi, I’m Alana Mitchell, licensed aesthetician and Day Spa owner.  We’re going to talk about lashes – how to have big, beautiful, full, gorgeous lashes. So what you can do is use at-home products at night like Lilash and you apply that on the top of the lid there at the base of the lashes at night, before bed. That’s one way you can have beautiful lashes helping to enhance and grow – yes, it helps to enhance, makes them fuller and to potentially grow. So that is your at-home product.

 

Eyelash Curling

Now during the day, to curl your lashes, I recommend Marlin Bar’s  Eyelash curler – a nice safe lash curler. You can also use a metal lash curler – be careful, though, if you’ve never used an eyelash curler before, start off with this one. The metal eyelash curlers you can press too hard – so be gentle when you’re doing that to your lashes. You can use a blow dryer to kind of heat the metal lash curler and then apply it but don’t let it get too hot. And you want to look up while you’re trying to curl your lashes and press the curler base to the actual lid – don’t curl your lid as that’s not the actual point – it’s to curl your eyelashes!  So you can do that and that will give you a nice full look. Also my friend uses a spoon (!). It’s kind of tricky but you take a spoon at the edge – I don’t know if that will work but you can try it. He’s a makeup artist. In addition to these, Model in a Bottle also makes a pretty decent eyelash curler. Be sure to check it out.

 

Mascara

So we have the spoon, we have the plastic lash curler and we have the metal lash curler. So those are all to get your lashes curled. And then, my favorite mascara is probably the Blinc mascara. Love that mascara. And Divaderme makes a nice mascara – mascara Diva. They’re both different in how they work. The Blinc Mascara works more to coat the lash and it’s a little more flexible. To take it off you have to use water and pressure – it’s kind of like a waterproof but it does come off with water and pressure. Mascara Diva is really thick so if you like a really thick mascara – Mascara Diva is really good. So those are our mascaras that I recommend.

And then you could also use – to fake it – the Divaderme lash extender. It’s little fine particles of synthetic hair particles really, that you use in-between mascara coats that just lengthens and thickens your lashes. And don’t pump your wand too much as that will dry out the mascara. That is a tip that a lot of people forget is never pump the wand.
